About

Our History

Ron and Stephanie Smith established Texas Lawns with 1 truck in 1991 servicing Fort Worth and Weatherford areas after several years within the landscaping industry. They had a vision of establishing a service first organization that provided complete year-round Lawn Care Maintenance for residential and commercial accounts. As a result of our client’s confidence in us and the service we provided, Ron and Stephanie decided to expand their business.

In 1996, Texas Lawns quickly expanded into Landscape Design and Installation with tremendous success. We became a licensed Irrigator in 2000 which allowed Texas Lawns to expand our service offerings to include Sprinkler/Irrigation planning and installation. Texas Lawns expanded their services yet again into irrigation repair and back flow testing in 2001 when we earned our Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing License. Texas Lawns, now a full-service Landscape, Lawn Care, and Irrigation Installation company, runs a fleet of 20 trucks across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with uniformed professional staff ready to take on projects of all sizes.

After 31 years of servicing our clients, Ron and Stephanie have decided to retire from the business and completed the sale of their company to Teamshares, Inc  on January 31, 2022. With the assistance of Teamshares, Texas Lawns is proudly now an Employee-Owned company and will continue to build on Ron and Stephanie’s legacy of Service is our Specialty. Our vision moving forward is to expand our services beyond Fort Worth into all of Texas by continuing to provide  unmatched customer service and customer satisfaction, expanding our fleet and equipment, and investing in technology, innovation and all of our Employee-Owners.

Warren joined Texas Lawns in 2021 after 30 years within the automotive industry. With his executive management experience in Technology, Sales and Operations, Warren is ready to lead our company into a bright future and expand our brand and services throughout all of Texas with our employee-owners.

Director of Operations

Mike has been working within the landscape industry for over 35 years including 20 years at Texas Lawns. Customer Satisfaction is his number one goal and loves to see the instant gratification from our clients when the job is done.  Mike is responsible for all of Texas Lawns Operations and focuses on improving our processes and increasing productivity.

Victor has been with Texas Lawns for over 15 years starting as a Sprinkler Repair Technician to Sod Installation and now manages the Irrigation Installation Department. You might just spot him on a Ditch Witch on your next project,
